TeleVisits during COVID-19
During this time of the COVID-19 Virus, Town Pediatrics has initiated TeleVisits for specific circumstances. If you child is ill, please continue to contact Town Pediatrics as you have done in the past to be triaged by our front desk staff and/or triage nurse. At that time, we may offer a TeleVisit with one of our providers as needed.
In preparation for recommendation of a TeleVisit, please reference the documents on this page.

Questions and Answers
Questions & Answers for TeleVisits and Other Services
What are TeleVisits?
TeleVisits will allow you to have your child seen and assessed in a real time at home setting using your laptop or your phone (used through your portal account), offering both convenience and minimizing the risks of spreading illness.
Does my insurance cover TeleVisits and other services?
During this time, many of the insurance companies are covering TeleVisits however, we advise you contact your specific carrier to confirm coverage. You will be responsible for all copays and costs that are not covered. Congress has ruled by emergency legislation that the CMS will pay for TeleVisits and many insurance companies are covering this service during the novel COVID-19 Pandemic.
What illnesses can be treated through TeleVisits?
While there are some illnesses which may require testing (flu, strep, urinalysis) or in-person physical exam (ear infections, wheezing) we are working hard to provide safe and convenient ways to provide care.
In order to provide the most care to our family of patients, Town Pediatrics is continuing to provide nurse triage, portal messaging with providers and after hour provider phone calls. During this time, these options will entail a small additional charge in order to maintain uninterrupted service from our Providers. It is our hope that this pandemic will be short lived, and we will be providing a normal workflow soon.
Until then, the Staff and Providers are working hard to provide as much consistent and safe care to all our families as possible.
Nurse triage: $10.
Portal messaging with Providers: $10./incident
After hour phone calls: $20.
Stay healthy and safe, we all hope to see you back in the office soon.
